Want to Start Racing?

How do I get started?

  • Best way to get started is just to come out to the track. Wednesdays are best because they are practice nights and you can go at your pace. But you can also come out on a Race night and just practice the track. We will have you sign the one-day waiver form and the cost of practice is $7.00. If you want to try out a race we will have you fill out a one-day membership form and racing is $13.00 for the one day (must be over 18 to sign or have a parent/guardian). After you try-out a couple of races you can purchase a USABMX membership ($60) good for one year. You also earn points towards awards, receive a monthly magazine, and are covered under secondary insurance. There is still a race fee each night you come out to race/practice
  • Is there an age limit? No, we have riders as young as 2-3 and as old as 50+. All that is required is that they can ride a bike without training wheels. When they race they are grouped with riders in (or as close to) their age and skill level. There are three skill levels: Novice, Intermediate, Expert

What do I need to get started?

  • You need long pants, long sleeve shirt, closed toe shoes, and a helmet
(we have some loaners if you don't have one)
  • Be sure you bike does not have pegs
  • Be sure your bike has brakes
  • Bring your bike...bring the one you have that you're used to in order to try out BMX - no need for expensive gear to start out
